The Nutcracker

A few weekends ago my husband surprised me with tickets to see the Nutcracker ballet. Growing up my family would often go see the Nutcracker performed by the local art school and I've always had a love for the music, costumes, set, dancers..the whole thing. But this year I noticed something for the first time-- the beautiful colors! The whole evening I couldn't stop thinking about all the COLORS and how great they would look on yarn! So of course as soon as I got home I started experimenting and I ended up with 6 new colorways that I am pleased to introduce to you now. Like all our colors, they can be ordered on any of our yarns or fibers. But, if you'd like a skein of each colorway, you can get a very special deal-- $20 or more off the regular price!

I love the colors ... one of my friends is expecting, she is also a dancer/instructor so when I find out boy or girl I will know what colors to order ...

I'm in love with Sugar Plum Fairy! I run the spot light for a Nutcracker show every two years or so. It's one of my favorite ballets.

I love the Nutcracker, going to a performance always makes it feel like Christmas. And I especially love taking children for the first time and re-experiencing that first joy through their eyes.

I'm trying to resist, but Land of Snow makes it especially hard!

Laura, guess what, I figured out how to post under my "real" pseudonym!

I wore primary colors much longer than most girls (into college, actually--and we're talking about all three at the same time) but at some point they started to look a little harsh on me. Or maybe I was just over looking like a playpen toy. Anyway, Nutcracker Prince is the same fun primaries but sort of adult. I want some knee highs in that colorway! (See how much I've grown up?)

Arabian Coffee is fall colors in a way that looks appropriate to the season. I'll be dreaming about this one . . .
